The peace process initiated by the Government to end the war and ensure ethnic
harmony has reopened the space not only for a political solution for the two
decade long ethnic conflict but also for sustainable development, peace and
nation building. My Ministry has gathered a new momentum with this initiative
for commencing the peace process and commitment of the Government for the
devolution of power and decentralization of administration as a prerequisite
for nation building, national integration and sustainable economic and social
development.
